A pleasant Sunday!

Today started a bit late, but not as late as the past few days. Got up and watched a documentary about Magic Johnson - The Announcement. A very inspiring story that shows that even the brightest stars can make mistakes. The message for me though was the way he managed to come back in spite of the HIV infection and become successful in his post NBA/HIV life. Read the wiki article about him here.

Followed it up with a decent study session at the library and 5+ mile run in the rain! Was wondering if I  might  catch a cold but realized it wasn't such a big deal as long as one wears warm rainproof clothes. Once the body had warmed up, the rain didn't really make a difference.

Ended the day by watching Lincoln, a very interesting movie..got some idea of the Civil War, abolition of slavery, and the sheer political genius of Abraham Lincoln..did inspire me to read more about American History. As for the movie, I find the screenplay and depiction of facts pretty accurate down to the way Republican leader Thaddeus Stevens, Copperhead democrat Clement Vallandigham are actually portrayed. Check out their wikipedia pages and you’ll be amazed at the actors in the movie look very similar to the actual person in history. The acting is quite serious and mature and does not particularly strike one as excellent unless one watches such movies..I, for one, don’t and therefore the acting did not particularly appear extraordinary.
